Should we overthrow another nation's government?

Imperialism has been practiced for centuries. It empowers one nation and demolishes the country/government being invaded. In my personal opinion I believe that overthrowing a country is valid depending on the situation we're in at the time. Overthrowing a government can mean the hatred of a lifetime such as when our nation killed the president of Iran for his "wrongful ideology." We're now facing the hatred of the Iranian people. On the other hand when we overthrew the Communist movement in Korea, half of it's population stayed Capitalist. If we were to overthrow a country's government that had no negative connections towards us, I believe there's no purpose in doing this sort of act. When having good reasons to back up our choice and better yet speaking to those being invaded would secure us from any sort hatred act against us. This country has been said to be a nation of justice, but when we take the freedom of others without guilt we prove the complete opposite.

There is no true answer for this because people always have different opinions on what is imperialism and just helping others. When we go to help Iran we helped to get our oil. It was more of giving them hope against there will and making them pay us with their resources. It is almost as if so held their leader by gun point and asked him if he wants to live or let us take over their country for their oil. I know that I'm exaggerating about what happened but in any case we should never enter any nations soil without any permission. On the other hand, when we fail to help oppressed people, others will ask, "Why didn't America stop the corrupt regime?" It's a Catch 22.

Sometimes it is alright to overthrow a nation because they might want to bomb a place or they want to start a war. It has to be good reason to over throw their nation because you can't over throw their government for nothing. Maybe the other nation want to killed a certain race and we are the only hope against genocide. Or if they might want to turn communist, we can help maintain freedom. The world doesn't want a repeat of the Cold War.

Sometimes it is okay to do that because the government might not be making good choices. For example, he might be doing unfair things, like sending innocent people to jail or killing them. On the other hand, it can be wrong to overthrow a government if the government is maybe doing the best he can to help the people out and they aren't just going to kill someone for not doing what they wanted.

If some one was to overthrow another nations government it has to be because of a good reason, such as if the government was being unfair with people. Other than that then I think its wrong because some person killed the government for no reason. You can't just kill some one for no reason because you don't like them or because you feel like it will help your own interests. If your going to do something like that it has to be for a good reason.

The correct time to over throw another government is when you have no other option and you are very desperate for results. For example you can't over throw a government just because you don't like them. If a president does that, it will guarantee a war or an attack to the place where the over throw was organized. So I say over throw if you need to know and that you don't have any more options, because overthrowing isn't always the best way. You can always talk it out or form a peace contract or make deals with one another,because there is always another way you just have to look for it.

In the Cold War America overthrew a government in order to keep or make the place Capitalist. There are many other ways America turned places Capitalist , but overthrowing another nation's government isn't always what should be done. When you take away another nation's government you take away their properties and sometimes even their freedom and there is no one to lead the country. Again it all depends on the government and the situation, if the government is bad or trying to take over the world then sure we should overthrow governments.

No I do not think its right because everyone needs their government. I look at it this way: if they didn't do anything to you then why do it to them.your taking away something that they need and something that they love for. If you really feel that yourself or anyone else needs help or in danger then do what you have to do. All i got to say is do the right thing!

A right time to over through a government would be if they are being completely unfair to all of the people living there, and not giving them any freedom at all. If the government is taking away no only their civil right but their human rights as well (you know like treating them like animals). That and if the government is killing its own people for pleasure.

It is right to do that because what if they are trying to tack over our country. Or not only that, If they have something we need we will try to take over there place. But at one point it is not good because it can lead up to a war. If that happens we can maybe have another world war. Maybe not only that maybe a big war. Well not a as big as a world war but close to something like that. so in some ways it is a good thing but some other times it is bad.

It's not right to overthrow another government because we don't know how powerful they or they got on you. Also they mite end up over throwing are government. As we think we can over power them they mite be ready for all we know. If they overthrow us there gonna end up getting us bad because we ruined their life. We should be seeing if they have anything important that they would lone.

It is sometimes okay to overthrow another nations government. It is sometimes okay because they might do something to other nations that they don't like. At the same time it is not okay because that nation chose the government and they like what he or she is doing. If they are going to overthrow another nation's government they should do it when the government did something to their nation.

It's wrong to kill someone's president. They might not be good but its worse to kill them. Those are the worst people. You don't want them to kill your president. Its just not right. There are other ways you could do than that. There is no solution to that.

Depending on the how the goverment will affect the nations and espeicially our nation, I would say it would be alright to over through them.Yes it'll make them very upset on how their was changed struggle after struggle for the rights they fought for.If I was ever going to over throw a country,I would at least give them some of their rights of religion.

I think it is not right to over throw another nations government especially when that nations people have voted for him. However there are certain times in which there is no other choice for instance when they pose as a major threat to another nations security but even then it has to be well though of before its done because a nation has to think about the consequences because im sure that if another nation tried taking over their country they would fight back.The Cold War is a great example of that because they tried taking over each others nations and they went through allot of other countries to do so.

Which is more important: freedom or safety? This is an important question that we will deal with in-depth as we approach the topic of creating a nation. It is a tough one, because too much freedom will mean total anarchy, while too much safety means things are way too strict.

A student last year asked me, "Why are the people who start the wars never the same people who fight the wars?" He wanted to know why Bush and the Congress didn't have to go out and fight in Iraq while his brother was on his third tour. It wasn't that this student hated the government or even the War in Iraq. He simply wanted to know why the people in charge don't have to be on the frontlines. What do you think?

In class, we read about a person who thought that your generation was selfish and disrespectful. He mentioned the people who laugh at disabilities, who pick on others, who cannot seem to understand that there are others around them. At the same time, our team last year logged in over two thousand community service hours. So, what do you think? Is your generation a selfish generation?

Where does racism come from? Will it always exist?

Tupac said, "Still I see no changes. All I see is racist faces. Displayed hate makes disgrace for races." Although I often disagree with Tupac, he had a point here. Racism is a powerful force in our daily lives often influencing us in ways we cannot predict. So where does that racism come from? Is Tupac right in saying, "Some things will never change?" Or will there someday be an end to racism?

Why is school so much like a prison?

A student once told me that school was like a prison. They tell you when to eat, when to drink, when to use the restroom, when to sit, when to stand, what to say, what not to say, how to think, what to learn, how to dress, who to hang out with, etc.

Is the student right? Is school like a prison? If it is, what other aspects are similar to a prison? Why would this be the case? (Really think about the motives of the adults who create the school system. They probably have a good motive, so what is it?)

Whose responsibility is it to change the world? Is it something left for adults? Is it something students can do? Or is it better to work on your own life and not try to change everything around you? If you do believe it is your responsibility to change the world, explain why it would be important to you. Describe some of the ways you, as a student, can change your world.

In many cultures, there is an idea that two forces work against one another. One is working for good, the other for bad. One chooses love, the other one chooses hate. What do you think? Which one wins? Which one is more powerful?

How many people have to do strikes, marches and boycotts for people to get racism to stop?Aren't you tired of this aren't you tired of being judged by people you don't know? Well you should stop judging too! You say you don't judge but don't tell me that you have never looked at some and put a labeled them based on how they look or dress or the color of their skin. Remember that saying "Don't judge a book by its cover?" Will things ever get better? Have you ever actually paid attention and have you ever tried to make a difference?

Martin Luther King is a man who made or trie to make adeference. He did not use violence. He made many marches and hungerstrikes, long protests and boycotts. He gave a speech about the dream he had for the world to become a better place, for racism to stop and for everyone to be treated equally. That is all he wanted. Yet, he knew that it was hard to get along. He was killed tyring to make a difference. How many more people will it take for the world to understand racism is wrong?

There is always some people that think they are better then others. People do this all the time. They won't sell something or won't offer a job because of someone's faith or where they come from or the fact that they are immigrants. Why do some people not consider that racism? Just because they broke a law? Well Martin Luther King Jr. broke a law and he's a national hero. Rosa Parks broke a law and we paint her image on murals. Is it not heroic to pass a border to build a better life for a family?

People think things have change. It is not only the government and the president at fault. It's easy to blame them, but the reality it is everyone else's fault, too. Racism starts by someone judging someone else. It starts in homes and in neighborhoods and filters into the government. We can blame others, but here is a question: who are we/you to judge someone? Will the world ever change? Not unless we change.

Many people can try to make a difference.I t may never really happen because you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. You cannot make anyone do anything but you can help change their mind. How many other people will it take to change someone's mind? The world was maybe never meant to bein peace but that doesn't stop us from trying. If there are enough people in the world that really want it bad enough it will happen. Until then what will happen?

Is World Peace Possible?

Is world peace possible? Can we all get together and get along with each other? The government is not the solution for the peace everyone has been looking for. Most of the wars are caused by the governments that claim to protect peace. The people march against war but their voice is not heard.

Part of the world's problems come from the government's from all around the world. Warsare started because of them. The government needs to be calm or else their citizens are going to go out of control. How does the government expect their local residents to behave when their own behaviors are causing an international problem? That is something to consider in searching for world peace.

Peace is created not found. It has to do with how much you respect and how much you want to be respected. Peace treaties are very effective in international relationships. All we have to do is live by the law and not interfere with any problems the government is facing during a process of something. The government needs to recognize that when they have problems their citizens are worried there might be a war again. If people are so worried there going to start to go out of their country. That has happened before, when a country had severe problems people migrated somewhere far from their country. We just need to listen to the government and live how we want to, and I know everyone will be enjoying their life how it is. In other words, if people obey the law and the government creates fair laws, there won’t be any problems.

We all need to find out what is going on in our own community. You never know if you’re in danger and the community might be in danger with you to. Those are the kind of problems the government does not know about. That's why no government in the world can stop crime or any other problem there is. We just need to keep our eyes open and report anything that we see that can put our neighborhood or community in danger. Recognizing our rights can keep us just about free. If we let people live in this freedom, there is no need for war. Anyway, this is a free country!
